In the morning you will be mobilized to the Lima International Airport to take your flight to Cusco. Then you will be transferred to your 3 Star Hotel. This tour begins in the Temple of the Sun known as Qurikancha, which was the most important temple in the Inca Empire dedicated primarily to Inti, the Sun God. It was one of the most revered temples of the capital city of Cusco. Afterwards we will take you to the surrounding hills and visit the impressive ceremonial sites to give us an amazing picture of the highly engineering minds of the Incas, Sacsayhuaman, Qenqo, Pucapucara, and Tambomachay.
After breakfast at the hotel we will have the “Sacred Valley of The Incas” excursion, visiting archeological remains of Pisaq and its traditional Handy Graff Market then Maras and Moray town. (Lunch in Urubamba town is optional) Then continue our tour to visit Ollantaytambo. Thereafter we will transfer you to the train station for a short ride along the most spectacular views of the Peruvian Andes all the way down to the cloudy forest where our next destination is located, Aguas Calientes.
After breakfast we will have a very early start to arrive in time for sunrise at Machu Picchu, where you will have the most impressive panoramic view of the citadel which is one of New Seven Wonders of the World. Upon arrival to Machu Picchu we will have an approximate 3 hour guided tour around the Magnificent Complex, visiting the main sites and monuments (Machu Picchu is located at 2,400 meters (7,970 ft) above sea level). After your tour to this extraordinary location you will have free time to wander around and enjoy the surroundings. Soon after, you will go by bus down to Aguas Calientes.
We depart by catching the train back to Cusco or Ollantaytambo, (time and destination will be indicated on your train ticket) where we will transfer you back to your hotel.
At morning we will depart from Cusco and arrive to Arequipa City in the afternoon. Then our group will visit many of the almost 250 colonial buildings entitled as Human Heritage by UNESCO, which is close to the main square (Some of them have been turned into banks, stores, restaurants and museums).
The Colca Canyon is an area of astounding scenic beauty, and one of Peru’s top tourist destinations. It is best known as one of the world’s deepest canyons, reaching a depth of 4,160 meters (13,640 feet), whose depth can most easily be appreciated from the Cruz del Condor, a viewpoint where Andean Condors can be seen most days throughout the year. It also offers a vibrant indigenous culture, high-quality handicrafts, a range of activities from adventure sports to mystical tourism, and tourist home-stays. The valley also features an incredible amount of Inca and pre-Inca agricultural terraces and the irrigation systems necessary to operate them.
